School of Social and Political Science: About

Mrs Patsy Hodgson Retires

Mrs Patsy Hodgson, Head of School's Secretary, has recently retired from the University.

Patsy worked at University for many years, holding posts in the Schools Liaison Office, (then) Departments of English Literature and Social Administration, Criminal Justice Social Work, and SSPS.  She was Head of School's Secretary since 2003 and had a formative influence on the shaping of the School.

Patsy's calm professionalism, and encyclopaedic knowledge of the School will be much missed, and many colleagues (from both SSPS and elsewhere in the University) gathered to wish her well at her farewell reception in the new Chrystal Macmillan Building on 14th August.

The picture below shows Patsy with the three Heads of School with whom she worked.
