Fevre and Bancroft textbook reviewed in the Times Higher
Dead White Men and Other Important People reviewed in the Times Higher Education supplement - "Dead White Men could be a commercially viable novel that aims at the Sophie's World market."
Ralph Fevre and Angus Bancroft's new textbook 'Dead White Men and Other Important People: Sociology's Big Ideas' was reviewed in the Times Higher Education Supplement by Steve Fuller. The textbook is written as a novel, following the adventures of Mila, as she grapples with who she is, what she is, and her place in the world. Fuller writes, "This project of self-discovery in alien worlds enables an artful review of topics that over the past two decades have become paramount in sociology: identity, the emotions, the body, gender and genes, class, status and power, as well as the status of sociology itself as a discipline."
