Childhood Studies students attending Scottish Parliament event
Our MSc Childhood Studies students have been invited to the Scottish Parliament, to discuss the incorporation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child into domestic law.
Children’s rights is the cornerstone of the MSc in Childhood Studies here at the University of Edinburgh, so we are delighted that students have been invited to this discussion hosted by the Scottish Parliament. Organised by the UNICEF UK, the event will launch a research report on legal implementation of the UNCRC in 12 countries. Speakers include Aileen Campbell MSP (Minister for Children & Young People), Anita Teeson (Deputy Executive Director UNICEF UK) and Professor Kay Tisdall (Programme Director of the MSc in Childhood Studies). The event will take place on Tuesday 22nd January.
