Damro awarded Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowship at EUI
PIR's Chad Damro has been selected for a prestigious Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowship at the European University Institute in Florence for 2013-14. As a Braudel Fellow, he will expand upon his recent conceptualization of the EU as a ‘Market Power Europe’, exploring in particular the conditions under which the EU attempts to externalize its market-related policies and regulations. His research projects during this period will also contribute to the FP7 TRANSWORLD project on 'Redefining the Transatlantic Relationship'. http://www.transworld-fp7.eu/
Chad Damro received his PhD (Political Science) from the University of Pittsburgh in 2002. In addition to Senior Lecturer of Politics and International Relations, Chad is Jean Monnet Chair, Head of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence and Co-Director of the Europa Institute at the University of Edinburgh http://www.pol.ed.ac.uk/staff_profiles/damro_chad.
He is a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe and has held visiting posts at numerous universities in Europe and the United States. In addition to the TRANSWORLD network, Chad was also a research member of the FP7 MERCURY project on 'Multilateralism and the EU'.
