Chancellor's Awards Announced

Dr. Elizabeth Bomberg has been honoured with a Chancellor's Award for teaching presented by HRH The Princess Royal at a gala dinner held at the Palace of Holyrood House.

Established in 2003, the Chancellor’s Awards are presented to staff for their outstanding contributions across three different categories; Innovative Teaching, Research Excellence and Rising Star.

The Award for Innovative Teaching was given to Dr. Bomberg, Senior Lecturer, Deputy Head of Subject and Senior Personal Tutor for Politics & International Relations, for her continued excellence. 

Dr. Bomberg has previously won the 2014 Political Studies Association Bernard Crick Award for Outstanding Teaching. She also received a 2012-13 Principal's Teaching Award Scheme grant, and has been nominated five times for a EUSA Teaching Award, winning once.

Professor Margaret Frame, School of Molecular, Genetic and Population Health Sciences, and the School of Law's Professor Jo Shaw both received awards for Research Excellence whilst Dr. Nicholas Mills, School of Clinical Sciences, received the Rising Star award.
