PIR Student wins three awards
Awards for research projects on Ukraine at the United Nations
Apurv Gupta, a third year International Relations and Law student at the University of Edinburgh has secured three international grants for working at the United Nations Headquarters, New York to conduct a research project on the ongoing crises in Ukraine.
He has has been awarded the Barnson Bequest Fund Award, the Principal’s Go Abroad Fund by the University International Office and the UN Gilbert Murray Study Award by the Gilbert Murray Trust.
"Working as a Youth Representative to the United Nations Department of Public Information (UN DPI), I participate in high level negotiations taking place on a daily biases at the United Nations. My research project, thus, gains that extra dimension of first hand knowledge from Ambassadors and Diplomats that I am truly grateful to receive at such an age.I thank the University of Edinburgh and in particular the School of Social and Political Science and the International Office for making this internship financially possible for me”.
