"Scotland 44", a book that re-imagines the future
Dr Oliver Escobar has contributed a chapter to a new book that tries to imagine Scotland in 2044.
Dr Oliver Escobar - Lecturer in Public Policy, Academy of Government - has contributed a chapter to a new book that tries to imagine Scotland in 2044. The chapter 'Towards participatory democracy in Scotland' explores the possibilities offered by democratic innovations that put citizens at the centre of policy-making.
The book was crowd-sourced and is published by the Post Collective, an alternative media platform that features political debate on a range of issues.
"Scotland 44: Ideas for a New Nation" collects 12 ideas from some of Scotland's brightest young thinkers about how Scotland could develop over the next 30 years.
The book will be soon freely available in electronic version.
