The Centre on Constitutional Change picked up the award for Excellence in Engagement with the Wider Community at the 2015 CHSS Recognition Awards. As a multi-institutional research centre hosted within SPS, the Centre and the School are now widely recognised as the leading authority on constitutional issues.
In the run up to the Scottish referendum, the team provided accessible, impartial and trustworthy information via events, workshops and seminars, as well as via wider media communications, with outlets including the BBC World Service, Sky News, Radio 4, and CNN.
As a result of their work with the Centre, SPS academics were quoted in hundreds of publications around the world and gave interviews with journalists from Tokyo to Toronto and St Petersburg to Paisley.
Our 'Edinburgh experts' were published and broadcast in 38 countries across the globe, gave 219 press interviews, racked up 93,497 visits to the Future of the UK and Scotland website and reached an amazing 9,458,273 readers via just 9 articles which were published in leading global media titles.
