Revisiting Moral Panics

Viv Cree, Gary Clapton and Mark Smith- book series out now on a range of social issues and anxieties explored through the lens of moral panic.

Our moral panics work comes together this summer in a series of short books on moral panics, and an edited volume that includes a commentary by Chas Critcher, who has been writing about moral panic for the last 30 years. The publications arise out of a seminar series sponsored by the Econonomic & Social Research Council (ESRC), and they explore subjects as diverse as 'troubled families', online pornography and assisted dying.
