EUSA Teaching Awards - 2017 Shortlist

SPS staff and students shortlisted in three categories at this year’s EUSA Teaching Awards.

The EUSA Teaching Awards are designed to recognise teachers, support staff and peer support leaders who have made a positive impact on the student learning experience.

Adding to last year's success at the 2016 awards, SPS staff, students and courses have been shortlisted in three different categories including Best Personal Tutor, Best Student Who Tutors and Best Course:

Best Personal Tutor - Dr Rachel Howell  (Sociology/ Sustainable Development)

Best Student Who Tutors - Lisa Schweiger (PIR) and Tim Squirrell (STIS)

Best Course - Responding to Sustainability Challenges: Critical Debates

SPS was well represented in 2016, with four members of staff reaching the shortlist and SPS in Practice picking up the award for Best Course. We are very proud once again that our staff and students have been shortlisted in the 2017 Teaching Awards. Congratulations must also go to colleagues who received nominations this year.

The event provides a great opportunity to highlight the strength of teaching within our School and is especially important as all awards are voted for and judged by students themselves.

The full list of winners will be announced on 27th April.
