Nishad Sanzagiri Wins Sir William Darling Memorial Prize
Nishad Sanzagiri, a 2017 graduate in Politics & International Relations, has been awarded this year’s Sir William Darling Memorial Prize.
The Sir William Darling Memorial Prize is awarded to students at the University of Edinburgh who, in the opinion of the Principal, have in any one year advanced or enhanced the reputation of the University.
University Principal, Prof. Timothy O'Shea, noted Nishad's contributions to campus life, in particular his leadership of the Model UN Society and the Edinburgh Quantitative Research Society, and his pivotal contributions in creating the latter. Nishad also played a key role in developing Peer Assisted Learning (PALS) for the SPS 'with Quantitative Methods' degrees.
Nishad has since graduated and is now undertaking a postgraduate degree in South Asian politics within the School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies at the University of Oxford.
