Research Led Teaching in SPS Wins Praise

Gender and Politics Lecturer Dr Meryl Kenny (PIR) and recent SPS student James Bryson gave a presentation to University Senate in May 2017 at a special session on research-led teaching.

They spoke about about their experiences on the award-winning School course SPS in Practice where academics and students worked together to design and co-produce the curriculum. The course, which won Best Course on the EUSA Teaching Awards (2015-16), was described by Assistant Principal Professor Sarah Cinningham-Burley as:

"An outstanding example of what teaching and learning in a research-intensive university should mean”
