The Julie-Ann Macqueen Trust will fund a PhD Social Work scholarship researching and benefiting one-parent families.
Social Work has received a donation of £120,000 to fund doctoral research from the Julie-Ann Macqueen Trust.
Julie-Ann graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1959 with a Diploma in Social Study and her subsequent career did much to highlight the challenges faced by single-parent families. The donation and the Trust celebrate this legacy and the funds will be used to fund PhD scholarships researching and benefiting one-parent families.
It is anticipated that the donation will fund the research projects of two full-time doctoral candidates. The first award is due to be made this year and application details are available at this page.
