Are you interested in the social and cultural dimensions of medicine and healthcare?

Would you like to understand more about how disease and illness, health and healing are understood and responded to in different social and cultural contexts?

This degree will introduce you to anthropological and sociological approaches, theories and insights relevant to medicine and healthcare.

Through a combination of taught courses and a research dissertation you will gain substantive knowledge of anthropological and sociological studies of medicine, health and illness, and explore how this work can enhance medical practice, research and policy.
