SSPS RO new initiative : "Research Surgery - open session"
SSPS RO pre-award team will be piloting a “Research Surgery – open session” morning, every Thursday between 9.00am and 12.00pm
The purpose of this session is to provide an opportunity for anyone in the school to pop along for a 30-minute slot without an appointment to discuss the range of available options for funding future research and career development plans.
The forum will allow you to briefly discuss your research ideas, discover funding opportunities and discuss funder and scheme requirements. At the moment the SSPS RO team would like to prioritise the use of this dedicated time for supporting awareness of funding opportunities.
You are welcome to attend individually or in small groups. There is no need to book a time, but it would be useful to indicate if you might turn up so we can organise the timings appropriately. Please indicate when you would like to attend by completing doodle poll.
Please make sure you are not booking the slots that are already taken.
This week, i.e. week commencing 12 February, the open session will take place in the Crstyal Macmillan building, meeting room 5.31.
Discussion on actual funding bids that are in development should continue to be facilitated through ssps.research @ed.ac.uk
