Financial Times focuses on high-frequency trading research by Professor Donald Mackenzie
Research by the School of Social and Political Science’s Professor Donald MacKenzie into the escalating speed of high-frequency financial trading features in the Financial Times online this week.
Gillian Tett, columnist and US managing editor of the FT, features Prof MacKenzie’s research in an article on the ‘dizzying data speeds’ of high-frequency trading. She refers to his findings that technology advances are enabling traders to make deals 60 times faster now than in 2011.
