Francesca Bray recognised with medal from the Society for the History of Technology
The School’s Francesca Bray, Professor Emerita of Social Anthropology, has been awarded the 2019 Leonardo da Vinci Medal by the Society for the History of Technology.
The medal, the Society’s highest honour, is awarded in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the history of technology, through research, teaching, publications and other activities.
Francesca is being recognised for her outstanding scholarship, which has been influential, and often crucial, in and beyond the field of the history of technology. The award also honours her extensive service to the Society, which has both strengthened existing networks and built global connection and possibilities.
