In the first half of 2016, CeSeR organised a series of three Security Network Seminars to start building an interdisciplinary network of Edinburgh scholars working on security broadly defined.
The seminars were designed in the hope to promote the sharing of diverse forms of security knowledge across disciplines and build lasting intellectual relationships leading to future research collaboration and bids for funding. In addition to this seminar, CeSeR was also engaging in a mapping exercise to identify scholars at the University who are working on security topics.
The second of these seminars was on international conflict and security and co-organised with Dr Niall Whelehan of the School of History, Classics and Archeology.
