CeSeR experts at professional development conference

Four security experts from the Centre for Security Research participated in a continuous professional development conference for learning development officers, December 7-9, 2016 at Edinburgh Castle, organised by the Ministry of Defence.

The purpose of the three-day continuous professional development conference was to improve the learning development officers’ intellectual self-confidence based on factual knowledge and conceptual frameworks needed to absorb and analyse security relevant information. CeSeR co-director Dr Andrew Neal as well as Dr Richard Brodie, Dr Andrew Hom and Dr Oliver Turner shared their knowledge on UK security policy, revolutions in military affairs, strategic culture and UK policy in South East Asia respectively. The aim was to widen the officers' scope of knowledge on various security issues and geograpgical areas, and to improve their ability to place information within conceptual context.
