Research Project Description

My project broadly concerns the way technology is used in humanitarian aid, and how this has changed over time. Taking blockchains as a case study, I investigate the placement of technology within humanitarian aid, and the various influences that shape how these technologies are deployed to beneficiaries. By looking at an emergent and deeply contested technology, I hope to contribute to the greater discourse on the changing landscape of humanitarianism.
