Students wishing to attend their ceremony must complete the online registration at least 21 days prior to the event. Graduations are handled by Student Administration. School of Social and Political Science Graduations Winter 2019
The SSPS winter graduation ceremony will be take place on Monday 25th November at The McEwan Hall. The ceremony will start at 3pm and usually takes around an hour and a half. Any queries regarding the ceremony should be directed to Student Administration. Please do not forget that you cannot take part in the graduation ceremony unless you are wearing the correct robe and hood. These must be pre-ordered from Ede and Ravenscroft, the official robemakers to the The University of Edinburgh. This can be done online:
Following the ceremony, the Graduate School will hold a drinks reception in the Central Hall, Tollcross. (https://www.centralvenues.org/)
All SPS graduands and their guests who attended the ceremony with them, are warmly invited to attend. The reception will include the award of the Sue Grant Service Prize, the Directors' Dissertation Prize, the Marjorie Brown Prize awarded by Social Work, the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award and some (short!) speeches.
