Postgraduate Researcher Workshop
Postgraduate Researcher Workshop: Creating Effective Conference Posters
Increasingly, conference organizers require presenters to produce a poster around their research and be able to speak about this to an academic audience. This requires both technical skills to produce the poster and interpersonal communication skills. This working lunch and workshop will develop these skills among research students within the SSPS Graduate School.
Involving colleagues from across the Graduate School, there are two parts to the workshop:
1 A working lunch for networking and informal discussion on the rationale and purpose of conference posters
2 A practical skills workshop exploring the technical aspects of effective poster design and communicating research to a broad audience through posters
