Taught Masters

Research masters

The MSc by Research is a flexible one-year full-time degree which combines hands-on training in social research skills, with the opportunity to start work on an individual project. In many cases this project will form the basis of a subsequent PhD.

PhD Programmes

This degree is based on a minimum of three years' full-time study and independent research. In the first year, students combine a programme of research training with preliminary work on their thesis topic. The research training follows the requirements of the MSc by Research.

Distance Learning
