School of Social and Political Science: Graduate school

You will have academic and tutor support to guide, advise and offer feedback on your coursework. There may be 'virtual' office hours, telephone, skype and email support plus 'virtual' seminars in 'virtual classrooms' to support and facilitate the distance learning experience with the added flexibility that distance learning brings, studying fits around you rather than you fitting around your studies.

In combination with the tutor contact there are many opportunities to meet and communicate with fellow students via peer support accessed through the online forums and asynchronous messaging. Distance Learning students often benefit from working with a diverse range of people from various parts of the world and with differing industry backgrounds.

General Support

The university provides support for all students via the student counselling service, accommodation services, the chaplaincy centre and the student disability service as well as The Advice Place run by EUSA.
