School of Social and Political Science: Graduate school

Social Anthropology

Social Anthropology is the comparative study of human conduct and thought in their social contexts. As a discipline it overlaps to some extent with areas such as sociology, human geography and development studies, and  social anthropology is also closely linked to history and philosophy. Our postgraduate programmes  are open to students from a very wide range of backgrounds and we invite you to bring your own knowledge and experience in.
