What were you doing before you applied to the MSc?
Programme Specialist & Coordinator - Vulnerable Group Support & HIV/AIDS (World Bank funded- Post-conflict reconstruction & rehabilitation programme for Northern Uganda).
Why did you apply to the programme?
To enhance my skills and knowledge so as to better understand and address international health dynamics vis a vis the global politics of health.
What are your best memories from your time studying here?
Firstly, the MSc Programme was well structured and tutored and very interactive, which I liked because I was able to develop my intellectual debating skills, more especially with regards to global health. Secondly, the team spirit which was inculcated among the students.
What's it like being a student in Edinburgh?
It's awesome! It's a world class university with over 70% international students enrolment and provides the opportunity for learning and experience sharing.
What have you done since graduating?
Since 2008 when I completed my MSc program, I have been building a charity not for profit non-governmental organisation that focuses on primary health care, with special interest in Child & Maternal Health- Global Health Network (U). I am also pursuing a PhD programme in pre-clinical medicine.
What are you doing at present?
I am working for Global Health Network as its CEO and Founder, and a partner of Global Development Consulting Firm.
