James has 7 years of experience working on a wide range of issues related to rural development and poverty in less developed countries (Kenya, Ethiopia, Benin, Mexico, Belize and Bolivia). Currently completing a PhD focusing on pastoral livelihoods in transition and Heifer Project Internationals smallholder dairy projects in eastern Kenya. He also holds an MSc in Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development from Imperial College London.
