Morality and Strategy in the Global Politics of Oil
I work on issues of morality and strategy in the global politics of oil, in particular on the question if there is a right of access to energy resources (most importantly oil), who has such a right (i.e. individuals, states, states on behalf of individuals, etc.) and by what means such a right can be legitimately exercised (i.e. morally justified recourse to arms).
The theoretical background of my work mainly consists of classical realism, just war theory, security policy and theories of global justice.
