When are social movements successful? Roma claims-making in Macedonia and Serbia
My research focuses on social movements, comparative politics, minority rights, citizenship, exclusion and ethnic conflict. My PhD focuses on using ethnic conflict and social movement theory to explain anti-Roma sentiment and to ascertain the degrees of success achieved by Roma groups in advancing their claims to contest state/societal oppression in Macedonia and Serbia.
