MSc in Comparative Public Policy
A message from the director
Welcome to the web pages for the MSc in Comparative Public Policy at the Graduate School of Social and Political Science at the University of Edinburgh. You should find key information about the programme on this and subsequent pages, including the programme's aims and structure.
The MSc draws upon Edinburgh's growing strength in the field of comparative studies. The Social Policy group is currently headed by our Chair of Comparative Social Policy, Professor Jochen Clasen, and a number of members of the group employ a diverse range of comparative approaches in their policy research.
All the best, Ingela
Dr Ingela Naumann
A message on behalf of the acting programme director
Colleagues in Social Policy wish Dr Naumann all the best during the period of her maternity leave. For the start of the academic year 2011/12, Dr Daniel Clegg will be directing the programme. Daniel is a key member of the team delivering the course on Comparative Analysis of Social and Public Policy, and also directs the MSc in Policy Studies. If you have any queries regarding the programme, Daniel welcomes these at the address below.
When to apply
We strongly advise students to submit their applications before mid-June, especially where they require an unconditional offer of study in order to secure a student visa. Complete applications may be considered after this stage, but the School can not guarantee that such applications will receive a decision in time for the start of studies in September 2012.
