What is Q-Step?
Q-Step is a national initiative to ensure students are equipped with the quantitative data analysis skills needed in tomorrow’s Social Scientists. While the focus is at the Undergraduate level we also offer courses and resources for secondary school pupils and are involved in a number of other projects at Postgraduate level.
Edinburgh Q-Step Centre is one of only 18 universities in the UK chosen and funded to develop degree programmes and a series of other projects aimed to develop Quantitative Skills in the Social Sciences under the Q-Step banner. This project is funded by the Nuffield Foundation, the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).
