Description

We are looking forward to welcome Alison Park, Director of the Cohort and Longitudinal Studies Enhancement Resources (CLOSER). Alison will host a workshop, introducing us to CLOSER’s range of longitudinal resources and highlight opportunities for life course and intergenerational research.

The session will cover the following:

  • CLOSER Learning Hub demonstration
  • CLOSER Discovery demonstration
  • CLOSER’s work on data harmonisation and linkage

This workshop is suitable for researchers from across disciplines and career stages who are using data currently, or considering using data, from the CLOSER longitudinal studies.

The CLOSER longitudinal studies include – the 1946 National Survey of Health and Development (NSHD), 1958 National Child Development Study (NCDS), 1970 British Cohort Study (BCS70), Millennium Cohort Study (MCS), Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC), Southampton’s Women’s Survey, Hertfordshire Cohort Study and Understanding Society.

This event will take place on Monday, October 9 from 11am-12pm in the Practice Suite (1.15) on the 1st floor of the Chrystal Macmillan Building.
