In this seminar, Q-Step's new outreach fellow, Helen Packwood, will explore the findings of her doctoral research, which sets out to understand trends in school leaver destinations. The research is based on empirical evidence gathered in Scottish schools as well as statistical analysis of the national trends using the Scottish School Census and Scottish School Leavers Survey. This combination of innovative methods is used to shed light on how poverty, ethnicity and geography intersect to create distinct pathways for school leavers. The session will highlight some key findings from the research and allow time for discussion of research, policy and practice in this area.

This seminar will take place on 29th April from 1pm in the Practice Suite (1.12) on the first floor of the Chrystal Macmillan Building.
