Current Research

David is currently involved in several research projects focusing upon the political economy of European marekt integration, Economic and Monetary Union and National financial systems and the financial crisis.

Current Teaching

David convenes and teaches on ‘Institutions and Policies of the European Union’ (IPEU) core course for the MSc in IEP & EUPL and ‘France in International Affairs' for the MSc in IEP & EUPL.

Current Supervision

David currently supervises PhD students working on the following subjects (among others):  Fiscal policy coordination in the Euro area; EU financial sector governance; the spread of Private-Public Partnerships in Europe; the political economy of EU enlargement; EU policy making on the illegal economy; EU-Mediterranean cooperation.

He is able to supervise students working on a wide-range of international / EU / comparative political economy topics; and EU politics more generally.
