The below information will show you what is on offer within SPS in 2017-18 amd will help you pre-select courses before returning to University in September. You will be automatically registered for any compulsory courses, including Fundamentals where applicable, but you will also need to select additional courses to ensure your total number of credits for the year is 120.   

All course information is kept as up to date as possible, but please be aware that this information is subject to change ahead of the start of teaching.

We will inform you of any changes as soon as possible. Please note that this page only contains information on SPS courses and there may be options available to you from other Schools.  To see your full list of options refer to the rules for your degree programme on DRPS or Path.

Students should double-check their timetable when the final timetabling information becomes available in July to ensure there are no clashes or issues.

Level 7/8 courses are for 1st/2nd year students and Level 10 courses are for 3rd/4th year students. Level 11 courses are for postgraduate students.  Courses in italics are not being delivered in 17-18

These courses are on offer from the School of Law.  This year Law will offer  5 spaces on each of the courses. Students wishing to request places on courses must request this from the Law Undergraduate Office by emailing  law.ugo@ed.ac.uk .  

Students will not be enrolled directly onto Law Honours courses without the permission of the Law UG Office.  As their allocations occur in July, we will be unable to confirm a place on the course untill then.
