If you feel that something beyond your control such as a medical or personal issue is exceptionally having a negative effect on your coursework and assessment performance, and you have evidence of this, you can ask us to take these circumstances into consideration when we are making decisions about your assessment results, progression, or degree classification. Do this by consulting with your Student Support Officer or Personal Tutor and submitting a Special Circumstance Form (SC Form) with supporting evidence to your SSO.
Students should submit the form as soon as possible, and not more than a week after the student’s final assessment of the semester. If your circumstance was specific to a single assignment on a single you may wish to submit the SC form just after the assignment was due. However, if the circumstances are likely to affect a number of accessments across a number of courses ongoing, it would be best to submit the SC form at the end of the semester. By then you will have a better idea as to how much any of your courses or assignments may have been impacted.
The deadline for submitting special circumstances forms are:
- SC's relating to semester 1 courses- 17th of January 2019
