Canadian Studies

The Centre of Canadian Studies is internationally recognized as one of Europe’s leading centres for the study of Canada.

At the Undergraduate level the Centre offers a core course: Canadian Studies 1A: The Dynamics of a Multicultural State. This course looks closely at Indigenous and settler communities in Canada and explores the changing relationship between then.

Students can combine Canadian Studies 1A with a range of additional courses in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and in the School of Geosciences. The Centre places a particular emphasis on knowledge mobilization and actively includes undergraduate students in its research community.
