Research carried out at national level suggests that students who undertake study abroad as part of their undergraduate degree have better employment prospects after graduation. There are a range of opportunities for study abroad in the third year of your degree. You can find out more about these on the Edinburgh Global website.
Click on “Exchanges” in the left-hand menu; then on “ERASMUS” or “International Exchanges”, as appropriate. Clicking on “Edinburgh Students” will then take you to the list of subject areas participating in exchange programmes. Click on the relevant subject area name to find the opportunities available for students.
For subject area specific information on studying abroad please check here - Politics & IR
You can also ask your Director of Studies or the subject area Honours organiser for further information. Please note: The University of Edinburgh will grant credit for authorised studies abroad, but your final degree classification will be based only on courses taken at Edinburgh, usually 120 credits in your 4th year.
