The following is a guide to using Learnto sign up for tutorials. If you have any problems using the Learn sign up, please contact the relevant course secretary in the Undergraduate Teaching Office, room G.04/5, Chrystal Macmillan Building.
Step 1 – Accessing Learn Course Pages
Access to Learn is through the MyEd Portal.
If you are a new student, you will have been given a log-in and password during freshers week.
If you are a continuing Honours student you will already have a log-in and password.
If you are a visiting student, log-in details will have been given to you during registration.
Once you are logged into MyEd, you will see a tab called ‘Courses’ which will list the active Learn pages for your courses under ‘myLearn’.
Step 2 – Welcome to Learn
Once you have clicked on the relevant course, you will see the welcome page for that course. Please click on the ‘Tutorial Sign Up’ icon.
Step 3 – Signing up for Tutorials (Honours only)
Clicking on the Tutorial Sign Up icon will take you to the sign up page where all available tutorial groups are listed along with all students who have already signed up. Click on the 'Sign up' button next to the group that you wish to join. The Confirm Sign Up screen will display. Click 'OK' and you will be added to your chosen group.
NB: If you change your mind after having chosen a tutorial you cannot change it online. You will need to contact the course secretary who will be able to reassign you.
*Tutorials have restricted numbers and it is important to sign up as soon as possible. The tutorial sign up will only be available until the end of Week 1 of the Semester. If you have not yet signed up for a tutorial by this time, please contact the course secretary as soon as possible.
**The stucture of lectures and tutorials is variable across the School at Honours level but some courses will continue to use Learn tutorial sign up as in years 1 and 2.
