Payment rates and process

What is the pay rate for the course(s) I am tutoring on?

Each course that has a tutor assigned to it will have a corresponding rate of payment.  A list of courses and their rate of pay can be found on our Teaching wiki. When you access the Teaching wiki, you will be asked to log in using your staff ease username and password.

How will I be paid?

Tutors must submit their hours monthly throughout eTime.  Tutor are responsible for submitting their electronic timesheets on time. The deadline for submitting your hours in the new system will be the 1 st of each month.

If the 1 st falls on a weekend then please submit your hours by the Friday before the 1 st . This deadline may vary, particularly around the Christmas vacation period. You will be informed of any changes to the deadline in advance.

When will I be paid?

You will be paid monthly retrospectively by direct transfer to your Bank or Building Society account. Hours worked in October, for example, will be paid in November, and so on. Payments are made on the 28th of the month unless this falls on the weekend or Bank Holiday when payment is normally made on the last working day prior to the 28th.

Who processes my pay claims on etime?

Staff processing tutor pay claims for undergraduate tutoring (Offices located on the UTO Ground floor, CMB- please ask at reception)  John Riddell, Siobhan Carroll, Claire Moggie

Staff processing postgraduate tutoring pay claims: Gillian MacDonald – GSO, 1st Floor, CMB
