Events, Workshops and Training
Workshops are open to all staff and students in the School of Social and Political Science only unless stated otherwise.
Throughout the academic year, the SDO offers a wide range of academic and professional skills workshops aimed at supporting you throughout your degree and helping to prepare you for the world beyond your studies.
These interactive sessions are led by experienced tutors and guest speakers and are tailored for different levels of study, allowing students to select the level of expertise most appropriate to their interests and needs.

3 Minute Thesis
A competition for PhD students in which you explain your whole thesis with in 3 minutes using only one static slide, this international competition is an excellent way to challenge yourself and develop your presentation skills.
The University of Edinburgh has run a 3MT competition every year since 2013. With two SSPS Students making it to the University Finals in 2017.
