Screening Room G.04, 50 George Square

Drawing on their own placement experiences, our speakers will discuss the positives and challenges of all things placement-related. This should be an excellent opportunity for prospective placement students to hear about what a placement is really like from those that have successfully undertaken one. If you are seriously considering a placement, attendance at this session is highly recommended.

Confirmed alumni:

Patty Miranda – Patty was on the Global Health and Public Policy programme, and her placement was with Participation and the Practice of Rights in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Dorcas Amoh-Mensah – Dorcas was on the Africa and International Development programme, and her placement was with the Tax Justice Network in Nairobi, Kenya.

Alex Robb – Alex was on the Global Environment, Politics and Society programme, and his student-led placement was with the Scottish Greens.

Each talk will be around 15 minutes long, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions during a panel Q&A session.
