Covid Governance and Data Protection Explorer Tool launch
Venue
OnlineDescription
On Wednesday 26 May at 4.30pm BST, the Covid Governance and Data Protection Explorer Tool will be launched at a live one-hour webinar hosted by Covid Action and the University of Edinburgh.
In a live demonstration, the research team will take you through the new database, which contains information on data protection and privacy laws from over 200 countries and territories, alongside information on how data is gathered and treated within Covid-19 responses, for example in contact tracing. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A and discussion of the importance of researching data protection and governance, particularly in relation to Covid-19.
The event is open to everyone, but may be of particular interest to students in the fields of public health, data protection and data governance.
