Dignity and Respect
We have a zero-tolerance stance towards any form of bullying or harassment. Guidance and information on the subject, alongside the University's Dignity and Respect Policy, is available online:
Gender Balance
We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all staff and students. We aim to promote a positive culture that celebrates difference, challenges prejudice and ensures fairness irrespective of gender.
The University of Edinburgh was the first higher education institution in Scotland to receive a university-wide award under the Athena SWAN Charter, which aims to recognise the advancement of gender equality within higher education.
In recognition of the positive steps that our School has taken to promote diversity and gender equality among staff and students, Athena SWAN granted The School of Social and Political Science a Bronze Award in 2017.
