Background

Alexandra is a PhD student and tutor in Politics and International Relations. Her thesis focuses on how hybrid threats are reshaping the strategic role of space-based assets in national security strategies. Prior to commencing her PhD, Alexandra worked in the Defence and Security sector in business analysis and data ethics, data privacy and data protection. Notably, Alexandra was part of her organisation's official response to UK government “Data: A New Direction” consultation call 2021.

Alongside her research, Alexandra is a Postgraduate Representative for the BISA War Studies Working Group where she contributes to, and facilitates, the provision of a platform for the exchange of ideas, the dissemination of high quality and innovative research, and for member and wider societal networking in the research field of war studies. Alexandra is also involved in the Accessible AI Society which promotes the empowerment of both staff and students from any discipline and background to engage with and discuss Artificial Intelligence.
