Having completed my Master of Social Work degree at the University of Edinburgh in 2002, I worked as a social worker in local authority adult services including a specialised learning disabilities team. In 2015, I left direct social work practice to complete the MSc programme in Social Research and subsequently embarked on a PhD in Social Work, both at the University of Edinburgh. My ongoing PhD research focuses on the emotional resilience of social workers within adult services. My supervisors are: Dr. George Palattiyil, Dr. Jackie Gulland and Dr. Pearse McCusker.
I am currently a Teaching Fellow in Social Work.
