Background

I am a PhD candidate in social anthropology at the University of Edinburgh. My research explores the impact of Internet video technology and capital intervention in the Chinese film industry on youth film professionals. I focus on how youth filmmakers understand (or resist), reshape, and realise creative content through state policies and media technologies.
