Booking is now open for our Postgraduate Virtual Open Day Sessions. This event takes place from 23 to 25 March and is for students who are considering making an application to one of our programmes.

Sessions take a range of formats, from interactive presentations to taster sessions and live question-and-answer sessions.   There will be an overview of the Graduate School, an overview of Postgraduate Research opportunities, and specific programme sessions led by Programme Directors.

Studying with the Global Health Policy Unit

The Global Health Policy Unit (GHPU) is a cross-disciplinary team of academics who are committed to addressing contemporary major global health policy challenges. This session introduces you to our MSc programmes. The MSc in Global Health Policy offers an interdisciplinary approach to the study of public health problems with a distinctive focus on policy. Students engage with staff who are experts in health and public policy through taught courses, directed self-study, discussion and a capstone dissertation. In this session we will discuss the structures of our programmes and provide a taster into the research and teaching interests of the GHPU.

The MSc International Development engages critically with international development thinking and practice and more broadly with processes of social, political and economic transformation throughout the global south.

The programme offers the opportunity to write a fieldwork or library-based dissertation, or carry a placement-based dissertation.
