Description

The Centre on Constitutional Change is delighted to host Prof. Michael Kenny for the launch of his latest book, Fractured Union: Politics, Sovereignty, and the Fight to Save the UK (Hurst).

The event will provide an opportunity to discuss key issues covered in the book, from the roots of the various constitutional crises the UK has faced in the last decade to the challenges the political class has encountered in engaging with devolution. We’ll also delve into the political scenarios in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland in these uncertain times, as well as debate the yet unresolved English Question.

Michael Kenny is the inaugural Director of the Bennett Institute for Public Policy at the University of Cambridge. He is a leading British scholar in politics and public policy and has published extensively on several issues, including territorial governance in the UK, the policy dilemmas of ‘left behind communities’, the politics of expertise in public policy, and the implications of behavioural science for public policy.
