Description

The rapid political and military changes in Syria over recent months have reignited discussions about the future of Rojava in the north and east of the country. As part of the new governance structure and transition process in Syria, the relationship between the current Rojava administration and the central political structure, and potential forms of integration, are the subject of deep debate. This process is further complicated by tensions and conflicts on the ground, as well as by reconciliation efforts.

This event aims to address recent developments in Syria, particularly in Rojava, while fostering an informative discussion to better understand Rojava's current situation, its relations with the new Syrian administration, and the potential political, military, and administrative outcomes of ongoing negotiations.

The event is open to students, staff, and members of the public.
